Hi Reader,
I need to share something important with you, and I owe many of you a sincere apology.
The Problem I Didn't Know Existed
For several months, we've had a technical glitch with our puppy and goat application forms that I was completely unaware of. People were filling out applications, seeing a "thank you" message, and believing their forms had been submitted successfully - but many weren't actually reaching me.
I had no idea this was happening until a very helpful prospective client named Julian persistently reached out to let me know he'd submitted an application multiple times without hearing back. Through our conversations and his patience in helping me understand what was occurring, I was finally able to identify and fix this frustrating technical issue.
If This Happened to You...
I am truly sorry. If you filled out an application for a Maremma puppy or dairy goat in recent months and never heard back from me, please know:
- It wasn't because I was ignoring you
- It wasn't because your application was rejected
- It was entirely due to this technical glitch that I didn't realize was happening
I pride myself on responding to every inquiry personally and promptly. I also work very hard and invest a lot of money in software and systems to help me get the requested info out to prospective clients as quickly and efficiently as possible. Knowing that potential clients may have thought I was simply not responding is honestly heartbreaking to me.
The Solution
The forms are now fixed and working properly. If you're still interested in a Prancing Pony Farm Maremma or dairy goat, please:
- Resubmit your application using our updated forms
- Reply to this email to let me know you'll be resubmitting - this way I'll know to watch for your application
- Contact me directly if you have any issues: kim@prancingponyfarm.com or (559) 904-5193
Here are the newly updated forms:

A Special Thank You
I want to publicly thank Julian for his persistence and patience. Without his determination to help me understand what was happening, this problem might have continued indefinitely. This is exactly the kind of thoughtful, solution-oriented person who makes a wonderful addition to our Prancing Pony Farm family.
Moving Forward
I've implemented additional safeguards to prevent this from happening again, and I've added clear instructions on the forms so applicants know exactly when their submission is complete. I've also updated the Maremma form to make it less confusing. I added some additional questions to help me better serve my clients (more on that in a future email) while removing redundant and unnecessary questions. I spent several hours redoing this form to help me better serve my clients. I even added new photos to the form!
Your interest in our program means everything to me. Whether you're looking for a livestock guardian to protect your animals or a dairy goat to provide fresh milk for your family, I'm committed to helping you find the perfect match.
If you have any questions or concerns about this issue, please don't hesitate to reach out directly. I'm here to help make this right.
Pupdate - Aurae's Litter Born August 18th, 2025
One more thing—in case you missed my extra "litter announcement" email on Monday, Aurae's (Prancing Pony Aurae) much-anticipated litter (Sired by Unfinished Acres Sevro) was born on Monday. We ended up with eight healthy pups—three boys and five girls.
(Read this post if you are wondering about the colored spots on the puppies. There's a very good reason for them. 🐶)
I bred Aurae, and this is her first litter. Her dam is Gianna, and her sire is Pax. Aurae has an OFA hip score of Excellent. Her PennHip score is R 0.31 & L 0.23, and she has OFA Normal elbows. Sevro's PennHip score is R 0.31 & L 0.29, his OFA hip score is Good, and his elbows are Normal.
Both parents are working LGDs (of course) and have excellent genetics, meaning these little pups will be amazing LGDs. We have only two reservations available from this litter, so if you want to reserve one of these pups, don't delay—they will go fast!
Thanks for your understanding of my tech glitches and for being part of our extended farm family.
Warmly,
Kim
P.S. - Our current litter information and available goats are always updated on our website. Even if you applied months ago, I'd love to help match you with the perfect addition to your farm today.
