I hope your week is going well. Spring has already come to Central California, so we are making the best of it. Last week, my new farm helper (Kiley) and I took six Maremma puppies on training walks in the almond orchard next door. The trees are blooming, and it's an absolutely wonderful time to walk and train dogs.

This week, my dear friend Megan is coming from Texas to help me with more farm-related jobs. We will trim all the goats' hooves, walk and train more dogs, take photos of puppies (while the trees are still in bloom), and do whatever else we can get to. I hate that my friend lives so far away, but I take advantage of her visits to spend time with her and catch up on some of those jobs that are hard to do by myself. Megan is the only person I know who loves goats and dogs as much as I do, so she's a joy to have around. (My animals love her, too.)

Another Happy Family Takes Home Their Prancing Pony Maremmas

Last week, we had two pups leave for their new homes. They went to a sweet family with a new one-acre homestead in California. π (Yes, Maremmas do great on small farms, provided the neighbors don't mind barking π) These are the first dogs their family has ever had, so I was honored and happy to be the breeder they chose for such a wonderful new part of their lives. They have reserved three goats from us, as well, and will be coming back for those as soon as the baby goats are ready to go. πππ
