Hi Reader,

I'll keep this short and sweet because I know you're busy (and honestly, so am I—still not ready for Christmas!).

But I didn't want Christmas to pass without taking a moment to say thank you for being part of this community. Whether you're a long-time Prancing Pony Maremma family, a dairy goat owner, or just someone who enjoys following along with farm life, I'm grateful you're here.

For me, Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Jesus and the hope, peace, and light He brings to the world. I know not everyone reading this shares my faith, and that's okay—but I did want to share what this season means to me. At its heart, it's about love, generosity, and the incredible gift of connection.

And honestly? That's what I see in this community, too. The way you care for your animals, support others with advice and encouragement, and share in the joys (and challenges) of livestock and LGD life—it's beautiful. It reminds me why I do what I do.

So from our farm to yours: Merry Christmas.🎄

May your day be filled with warmth, laughter, good food, and time with the people (and animals) you love most. I hope your livestock guardian dogs are keeping watch, your goats are being their goofy selves, and your heart is full.
