The Prancing Pony Farm Newsletter

Hi Reader,

Well, this is embarrassing! I need to make a correction to my newsletter from earlier today, and it's actually GOOD news.

My Communication Mix-Up

Remember how I said that only one person responded to winning the mini Nubian wether contest, and I thought the other winners weren't interested?

Turns out I made a classic communication error. In my excitement to get those contest winner emails out, I told the winners I would contact them when it was time to choose their goats - but then I sat waiting for THEM to contact ME confirming their interest!

Meanwhile, they were patiently waiting for me to reach out as promised. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

The Happy Plot Twist

After my newsletter went out offering the wethers on a first-come, first-served basis, several of my original contest winners reached out saying, "Hey, we've been waiting to hear when we can choose our goats!"

So it turns out I do have interested winnersβ€”I just confused myself (and them) with unclear instructions! (I meant to tell them to reply and confirm that they wanted their prize, but I forgot to include that in the original emails.)

Here's How We're Fixing This

First Priority: I'm going back to all the original contest winners to make sure they get their fair chance to claim their prizes if they're still interested.

Second: After the contest winners have had their opportunity, I'll work through the list of everyone who responded to my previous newsletter or this correction email.

If you're one of the new people who responded to my "first-come, first-served" offer, don't worry - you're still on the list! I'll just need to honor the original contest winners first (which is only fair).

Third: If you aren't on either list and I still have wethers left after awarding the previous winners, let me know and I will add you to the list to contact for a free wether while supplies last.

Still Want a Wether?

Whether you're an original contest winner who needs to confirm your interest, or you're newly interested after my previous email or this email, here's what you need to do:

  1. Fill out our goat application - Application Link Here
  2. Indicate in the notes that you're interested in a free wether
  3. Let me know if you're an original contest winner or responding to the newsletter offer

For contest winners, you'll still get to choose your specific goat. To make the process smoother, I'll handle the matching for newsletter respondents.

Lesson Learned

This is a good reminder that clear communication is everything - whether you're training a Maremma puppy or coordinating a goat giveaway! I'll definitely be more careful with my instructions going forward.

Thank you for being so patient with my organizational hiccup, and thank you to everyone who reached out to clarify. This is exactly why I love our Prancing Pony Farm community - you folks speak up when something doesn't make sense!

Stay tuned for puppy updates next week (and hopefully no more communication mix-ups from me),

Kim

P.S. - If this email made you chuckle, feel free to share it. Sometimes our mistakes make the best teaching moments!
